How do I know what size to order?

Size is of course our most frequent question. RMs are based on UK sizes and are true to this size scale.

In converting from US ladies sizes we drop 3 full sizes. US 8B = RM 5. In ladies boots we only carry Medium width and that is a little wider than a normal US medium.

In converting from US mens sizes we drop 1 full size. US9 = RM8.  In many of our boots we have both Medium and Wide available ( Turnout, Craftsman, Comfort Craftsman, Blaxland, Drover and Yard Boot). All others are only available in Medium.  Turnout and Craftsman are also available in F (Narrow) fittings if required.

Our Medium width is a little wider than a US D fitting and our boots should be comfortable straight out of the box.

Although you can always return boots for credit or exchange it is important to get it right the first time because the freight cost is substantial.

What is your Return Policy ?

If for any reason you were not happy with the boots you are welcome to return any unworn items for a full refund (excluding shipping) but please do this within 14 days of your purchase. Before returning any goods email me for instruction in regard to shipping and documentation.  Made-to-Order boots cannot be returned or exchanged.

Made-to-Order Boots

We offer a Made-to-Order service as distinct from Made-to-Measure.  This usually involves the interchanging of Toe Shapes, Heel Shapes, Soles or Leather Type. Some styles of boots are also available in different widths which are only Made-to-Order.  Made-to-Order boots take 6-10 weeks to obtain depending on the style.  We charge 50% at the time of receiving the order and the balance when we ship.  Made-to-Order boots cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged.  Please email your Made-to-Order enquiries to barry@bootsonline.com.au

How safe are my Credit Card details when I buy from you across the Internet ?

We have a secure site and your Credit Card information is as safe as the technology allows. If this is a concern just check the button on our Order Page and I will phone you to obtain your Credit card information.  Because we use "frames" you may not see the normal Padlock icon.

What is the cost of shipping and how long does it take to receive my order ?

Shipping is FREE within Australia for orders over AUS$150 and usually takes 1-2 days with Australian Air Express.  Shipping for orders under $150 is $10. 
International Shipping usually takes 3-6 days.  We deliver internationally with ECI (Express Courier International) and we will always email you with complete shipping details so you can track your shipment on the Internet. International Shipping costs AUS$50 (approx US$35)for a pair of boots. We ship to the UK by Airmail in order to keep costs down.  This usually takes 7-14 days. Because Hats are both bulky and light we ship them by AIRMAIL to avoid the very high Courier charges based on volumetric size.

What if you are out of stock of the item I order ?

If we are out of stock or unable to ship within 3 days for any reason at all we will email you and advise you what the delay is likely to be.

In what currency do you charge my Credit Card ?

I recommend that you read our customer comments page. Email anyone you choose and ask them. Our online business has been operating for 4 years and over 30% of our customers have bought more than once. Our retail store has been established for 28 years.
