Brush your hat anti-clockwise with a clothes brush. The reason for this is that the hat is always
finished in an anti-clockwise direction.
When the hat is not being worn, rest the hat on its crown if a hat peg is not available. NEVER
rest the hat on its brim as it will distort after a short period.
NEVER leave the hat in direct sunlight when not being worn. The hat will not shrink, but the
inside band will, and once this happens it is hard to stretch back to its original size. The main
offender here is the person who leaves their hat in the car!
When the hat is wet do not force dry. This will cause the leather to shrink.

If the hat is slightly soiled with dust and grime, the affected areas should be lightly rubbed with
dry cleaning fluid. Do NOT use liberally.
