Exposure to excessive heat will dry the fabric out. 
When soiled in ordinary use, simply hose the Stubbie Holder down. Always remove your can or bottle from the Stubbie Holder before hosing. Never wash with soap or detergent, which will also leach out the waterproof dressing.
After several years of use, the Stubbie Holder may need rejuvenating with the R.M. Williams Re-Proofer.  
Depending on your thirst a single can should last about 75 years .
